History

The company was incorporated in 1988 by founder, Mark Murphy. Mark graduated from Boston College in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he was hired by a direct marketing industry leader, R.L. Polk & Co. Mark spent 6 years working in their Boston, New York and Atlanta offices gaining valuable experience providing list, database, creative, lettershop, data processing and modeling services to an array of regional and national direct marketers.

Advantage List Marketing, Inc. opened for business in Watertown, MA in January 1989. The corporate mission was to bring professional direct mail services to small and mid sized companies enabling them to mail more effectively and efficiently. That goal has never changed.

Through out the years and mainly through word of mouth referrals from satisfied customers from Boston to San Francisco, Advantage has provided list services to a broad spectrum of direct marketers.

Working closely with direct marketing agencies, printers, mailhouses as well as directly with corporate marketing departments Advantage has built a reputation for personal hands on service.

After 9 years in Watertown, Mark moved the company to Holliston, MA. to be closer to his growing family.

We continue to work with some of the same clients that we have been working with from the very beginning.
